Expo Direct Shuttle Bus

Direct bus services to the Expo have been set up at 16 convenient transport hubs in the city. These hubs include Shanghai’s two airports, railway stations, several hotels, and various shopping districts. These Expo Direct buses can only be boarded by Expo ticket holders and makeno additional stops after taking off. They run on special road lanes reserved exclusively for them, allowing them to operate independently from traffic and avoid rush-hour road congestion altogether.

Expo Express Bus

Twenty Expo Express bus routes, which have been upgraded from key routes, also provide fast service to the Expo Site. They are entitled to run on exclusive Expo-bound bus lanes to operate independently from other road traffic. Originally, these buses make just two or three stops along existing bus routes. Starting from May 24, all 20 Expo buses are stopping at every stop along their routes. Expo bus numbers and their corresponding original bus numbers are listed below. The last bus on every route leaving the Expo site will depart no earlier than 1am of the next day.

Fare: 2 yuan

Traveling by Bus from Suburban Areas

Six express buses from Shanghai’s Jinshan, Fengxian, Qingpu and Chongming districts will take visitors to Metro stations with lines 7, 8 and 9, where they can take the subway to the Expo site.
